Vocabulary acquisition is an important aspect of English learning because it supports students’ communication skills. However, many students still face difficulties in learning vocabulary due to limited exposure and less engaging learning methods. This study aimed to explore students’ experiences and perceptions of TikTok-based educational videos in supporting English vocabulary acquisition at SMP Negeri 2 Baranti.
The findings showed that TikTok educational videos supported vocabulary learning through captions, visuals, audio, contextual examples, and repetition. Students perceived TikTok as an interesting, flexible, and motivating learning medium. Although some challenges appeared, such as distractions and difficult vocabulary, TikTok was considered a useful supplementary tool for improving students’ English vocabulary acquisition.
